Legionella testing and water hygiene, done properly

Pulse Water started as a water hygiene company. Our engineers carry out risk assessments, sampling, monitoring and tank cleans on rail, airport, retail and hospitality sites every week. Your softeners and filters are serviced by the same team, under the same records.

Legionella risk assessments

A written assessment of your hot and cold water systems that identifies risks and sets out the control scheme, as the Approved Code of Practice L8 expects of every duty holder.

Water testing & sampling

Legionella and microbiological sampling by our engineers, analysed by an accredited laboratory, with clear results and next steps.

Temperature monitoring

Monthly sentinel outlet checks by our engineers, or remote sensors that log hot and cold temperatures around the clock and alert us when they drift.

Tank cleaning & disinfection

Cold water storage tank inspections, cleans and chlorination, with before-and-after photos and a certificate for your records.

TMV & outlet servicing

Thermostatic mixing valve servicing, shower head descaling and little-used outlet flushing, logged against your written scheme.

Softener & filter hygiene

Softeners and filters are part of your water system. We service and sanitise them and record them in your legionella logbook, so nothing is missed at audit.

Why softeners belong in your legionella plan

Softeners and filters hold water, resin and media that can harbour bacteria if they are not serviced. HSE guidance (HSG274) treats water treatment equipment as part of the system you have to control. We look after both, so there's one engineer, one visit and one record.
